アメリカ映画「クラッシュ」を見ました。関連のある７つのエピソードが集まって一つの作品になっている素晴らしい作品だと思います。多文化社会のアメリカにおける人種差別の問題は、単一文化の日本にいると、頭ではわかっても、心からは理解の出来ないことのように思います。７つのエピソードには、心温まるものや、やるせなくなるものがありました。違う文化を持っていても同じ人間です。もっと相手の立場を思いやる気持ちを皆が持てたらと感じました。
I saw an American movie entitled ‘Crash’. I thought it was a great movie because of its seven related episodes. There is a lot of racial discrimination in America because it’s a multicultural country. I understand the problem mentally, but in my heart, I don’t because I live in Japan. Japan has a monoculture. There are some heart warming and some disconsolate episodes in this movie. We are all the same even though we have different cultures. I wish everyone would think about the feelings of the people around them.

it'a always nice to read how other people's cultures are in comparison to your own. though i know japan is a monoculture, i never really considered how someone living there would react to a movie like crash. i liked it too.
